Does starting an email with "Today is Your Last Chance" really bring in funds? It sounds morbid to me. (And, of course, it's not true…) Maybe it's better to say something like "Our budget will be finalized today. Your gift today will allow us to increase the number of people we're helping in the coming year."
Have you ever encountered a fundraising email employing urgency, such as a 'last chance' approach? What is your perspective – does it effectively capture your attention or come across as too intense? Tell us about it!
