Make it a practice to ALWAYS check all the links in anything you send out. Ensure that they direct to the exact page relevant to your information. If you're not 100% accurate, you risk receiving unsubscribe messages.
Have you ever unsubscribed after receiving an email with broken or irrelevant links? What measures does your organization take to ensure link accuracy and relevance in content to prevent such unsubscribes? Let's discuss and share insights!
You're hitting on a topic here that I think is really important. The issue of relevance is essential. And it's not just about having irrelevant links in your email. I'm sure you've had this experience as well, Lisa. Last month I got an email that should have created a wonderful and meaningful experience for me. It was a generous thank you letter. It talked all about the amazing things that my giving had accomplished for an organization, all of the wonderful things that the organization was able to do because of my giving, etc.
Only problem is...I've never given to that organization.
I am only a subscriber to this org's email program, but I'm not a donor. This should be a simple filter that could have been applied to this email segmentation before it was sent. Because the message was wonderful. It just wasn't relevant to me.
Attention to detail is everything right?
